As Senior Lecturer in Global Health at the University of St Andrews and an Associate Honorary Professor at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine`s International Centre for Eye Health, I lead the Arclight Project, a social enterprise that develops and distributes low cost solar powered diagnostic tools in resource poor settings. Clinically I work as a Consultant Ophthalmologist in NHS Fife, Scotland. My research encompasses evaluating diagnostic tools, enhancing inter-professional primary eye care education, and promoting the public understanding of Cerebral Visual Impairment: Google ‘Arclight Project’ or ‘CVI Scotland’.
