Dr Morini earned her ophthalmology degree at the Sapienza University in Rome, presenting a doctoral thesis on OCT and macular pigment measurements conducted at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary with Dr Rosen. After being appointed at Bambino Gesú Children Hospital of Rome for 5 years, she was drawn to India as a fellow to dr Kekunnaya at the Child Sight Institute, LV Prasad Eye Institute. She completed further fellowships in London at Great Ormond Street Hospital with Mr Bowman (CVI), and at King’s College Hospital with Mr Aclimandos (ROP). Since 2018, she serves as director of pediatric ophthalmology services in Piacenza, Italy. Her research interests focus on pediatric neurophthalmology and imaging of the optic nerve.
