Grace Wu

Dr Grace Wu graduated from the University of Bristol Medical School, England. She holds both specialist degree in ophthalmology as well as paediatric medicine and is a registered specialist with Singapore Medical Council and UK General Medical Council. 

Before embarking on a career in ophthalmology in UK, she attained the Diploma in Child Health from the Royal College of Physicians in 1997. She was awarded F.R.C.S (ophthalmology) by the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh and the UK specialist registration (ophthalmology) upon completion of her advanced surgical training. 

In addition, she undertook a further one-year fellowship to sub-specialize in paediatric and adult strabismus at Central Manchester Children’s Hospital, largest children’s’ hospital in Europe.  

In 2010, she was appointed consultant ophthalmic surgeon at the University Hospital County Durham and the Darlington Memorial Hospital NHS trust in UK. She came to Singapore in 2014 to take up the position of consultant ophthalmologist in comprehensive cataract surgery and paediatrics ophthalmology and strabismus. 

Having been actively involved in teaching medical students and residents, she had been invited as guest speaker in numerous international conferences. 

She is currently a member of the Royal College of Ophthalmologist, London, Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh and American Association of Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.
