Dr. Ipsita Basu is a Senior Consultant Pediatric Ophthalmologist at Disha Eye Hospitals in West Bengal. She embarked on her medical journey at Medical College, Kolkata, where she graduated in 2000. She pursued postgraduate studies in Ophthalmology at Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER), Pondicherry. Dr. Basu spent several years at Aravind Eye Hospital, where she completed her Diplomate of National Board (DNB) and a Fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology. Her professional focus is deeply rooted in pediatric eye care, with a particular emphasis on visual rehabilitation for children. Dr. Basu is also passionately committed to pediatric community service and frequently travels to remote areas in West Bengal to provide eye care services, demonstrating her dedication to improving children’s eye health and vision across the region.
