Miss MC Guirao graduated from Universidad Complutense de Madrid Medical School and undertook specialist training at Clínica Universidad de Navarra, Spain, where she was a board member of the Care Quality Commission for four years. Miss Guirao undertook fellowships in Glaucoma, Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at Oxford University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Birmingham women´s and children´s hospital, and Cheltenham and Gloucestershire Hospitals. She completed her phD, is a member of multiple medical societies, and has participated in numerous clinical trials. She has been awarded two grants, and is a reviewer for BMJ and author of book chapters and journal articles.
