Prof Choo is a senior academic staff at the University of Malaya. She obtained her basic ophthalmic degrees in 1999 with the National University of Singapore, Universiti Malaya and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh. She underwent Clinical Fellowship training in both Paediatric Ophthalmology (20030 and Glaucoma (2013) from Australia. During the glaucoma fellowship she had the opportunity to manage many complicated uveitic glaucoma cases at the Childrens Hospital at Westmead, affiliated hospital of University of Sydney School of Medicine. She has collaborative research projects with Save Sight Institute, University of Sydney, Australia.
