Saadia Farooqui

Dr Saadia Farooqui obtained her Bachelor of Surgery and Bachelor of Medicine from the Aga Khan University, Karachi, Pakistan. She began her residency in Ophthalmology at the Singapore National Eye Centre in 2011 and completed Master of Medicine (Ophthalmology) from NUS in 2015. During her training, she was awarded the SingHealth Best Resident (Ophthalmology) in 2015. She obtained specialist accreditation in Ophthalmology in 2017. She is currently Head of department at KK Women and Children’s Hospital.

Dr Farooqui is also a Clinical Assistant Professor with Duke-NUS medical school. She is Clinical Core Faculty member for Singhealth Ophthalmology Residency Programme and is actively involved in the training of residents.

She is subspecialty trained in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus with special interest in paediatric ocular genetic condition.
