Dr Sujata Guha did her DNB in Ophthalmology in 1998 from Sankara Nethralaya Chennai. There after she trained in pediatric ophthalmology under Dr T. S. Surendran. She completed her FRCS in 2000 from The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. She has been with Sankara Nethralaya since then. She has served there in the department of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus and is currently heading the Kolkata branch of the organisation. She has always been an enthusiastic teacher and has trained fellows from all over the country. She introduced the pediatric Ophthalmology fellowship programme in Kolkata which has already trained many ophthalmologists from all corners of the country. She has also helped introduce the DNB training program in the Kolkata branch of Sankara Nethralaya. Her special interest is pediatric cataract and complex strabismus. She is one of the most prolific pediatric cataract surgeons in Sankara Nethralaya. She has published various papers in national and international journals, and has delivered various talks in national as well as international conferences.
